When you are asked how much space you need, how many cartons to get and what sort of van you need to hire, you will need to do some quick calculations - and a bit of guesswork! We hope the guide below is helpful, though it is obviously only a rough guide:
House contents into storage:
1 bed house/flat 50-70 sq ft
2 bed house/flat 60-80 sq ft
3 bed house/flat 100-150 sq ft
4 bed house/flat 150-200 sq ft
Space needed for storing cartons, of standard size 16" x 12" x 11"
20-100 boxes 15-25 sq ft
500 boxes 100 sq ft
2000 boxes 400 sq ft
