Roger Nightingale Awarded MBE

A longtime owner in the self storage industry has been made an MBE in the New Year Honours list. Roger Nightingale, the founder of Nightingale Removals and Storage Ltd, has been recognized for his charity work with the children of North Somerset.

Mr Nightingale, of Weston-super-Mare, founded Nightingale Removals and Storage in 1961, and ran the company as a family concern until his retirement fifteen years ago.

Nightingale Removals and Storage is a removals company that specializes in national and international house-moves, also offering a storage service in their automated, temperature-controlled warehouses.

The company offers customers a range of services to compliment their core product, including professional packing and having their house deep-cleaned

They belong to the British Association of Removers and the Guild of Master Craftsmen, ensuring they maintain their reputation for high customer service. The company also has its own environmental policy, in which they pledge to do everything they can to reduce environmental impacts.

Roger Nightingale’s charitable activities recently included collecting more than 3000 presents for needy children in Somerset, a total he says he intends to better next year.
